DAMA Ireland Launches Women in Data & AI
We are delighted to announce the launch of Women in Data & AI, a new DAMA Ireland community and event series dedicated to celebrating the journeys, achievements, and impact of women across the data and AI profession.
This initiative aims to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive space where women working in data and AI can connect, share experiences, learn from one another, and support each other's professional growth. Alongside inspiring stories, the series will provide practical insights and valuable perspectives from leaders across industry and the public sector.

Ellie Fitzpatrick - Director of Strategy & Governance for Data and AI, BearingPoint Ireland
With more than 20 years of experience leading data transformation programmes across public, financial, and professional services sectors, Ellie has pioneered pragmatic data governance frameworks that successfully balance regulatory compliance with innovation, including AI adoption and integration.
Helen Terry - Chief Data & Analytics Officer, Bank of Ireland
Helen leads Bank of Ireland's enterprise data and analytics agenda, driving insight-led decision-making and modernising how the organisation leverages data. With over a decade of experience in data strategy and transformation, she has previously held senior data leadership roles at Sainsbury's Bank and Virgin Money, delivering strategic programmes including BCBS 239.
Dr Angela McCourt - Director of Data & Technology, Coimisiún na Meán
An award-winning data leader, Angela holds a PhD in Statistics from Trinity College Dublin, an MSc in Cybersecurity Management, and degrees in Mathematics and Psychology. She has led major public-sector data initiatives across organisations including Dublin City Council, the HSE, and the CSO, and is a passionate advocate for data governance, privacy, and evidence-based decision-making.
This event is free of charge and open to women across all data and AI roles, functions, and career stages—from those just beginning their careers to experienced practitioners and leaders.
