CDMP® Accreditation
The Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP®) qualification is developed and managed by DAMA International. DAMA UK supports members preparing for CDMP® certification through training, resources, webinars, mentoring and access to additional training options.
CDMP® at a glance
CDMP® certification is based on knowledge of the DAMA Data Management Body of Knowledge (DAMA-DMBOK®) and recognises data management knowledge and experience across three certification levels:
1. Associate
Achieved by passing the mandatory Data Management Fundamentals exam at the required Associate level.
2. Practitioner
Achieved by passing the Data Management Fundamentals exam with a minimum score of 70%, plus passing any two specialist exams with a minimum score of 70%.
3. Master
Achieved by meeting the exam requirements and demonstrating 10 or more years in data management leadership roles, with CV and industry credentials submitted to DAMA International.
Mandatory Exam: Data Management Fundamentals
The Data Management Fundamentals exam is the mandatory exam for CDMP® certification.
Passing the Data Management Fundamentals exam at the required level enables candidates to achieve CDMP® Associate certification.
Candidates wishing to progress to Practitioner or Master level must also pass two specialist exams and meet the relevant DAMA International requirements.

Specialist Exams
To progress beyond Associate level, candidates are required to pass two specialist exams. These specialist exams are administered through DAMA International’s CDMP® certification process.
The seven specialist exam areas are:
Data Modelling and Design
Metadata
Data Quality
Data Governance
Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence
Reference and Master Data Management
Data Integration and Interoperability
CDMP® 3-day Training Course
Exclusive to DAMA UK members, the CDMP® 3-day Training Course is an intensive training programme designed to help candidates prepare for the Data Management Fundamentals exam.
Course Fee: £950 + VAT.
This includes tuition, the Data Management Fundamentals exam and admin fee.
The exam can be taken on the final day of training or within 12 months of the course start date.
The membership fee must be paid in full before courses can be booked.

Training for Specialist Exams
DAMA UK does not directly provide the specialist exams or specialist training courses required for CDMP® Practitioner or CDMP® Master certification.
However, DAMA UK members can access additional training options through selected affiliate providers, including FIT Academy and DATAVERSITY.
FIT Academy offers training for additional specialist areas, and DAMA UK members may be able to access a member discount code where available. DATAVERSITY also provides further data management training and CDMP® preparation resources.
Important Note
DAMA UK provides a number of CDMP® 3-day Training Courses each year to support preparation for the Data Management Fundamentals exam.
DAMA UK does not directly administer CDMP® exams, provide specialist exams, or deliver all specialist courses required for Practitioner or Master level certification.
CDMP® certification, exam registration, exam results, certification levels and certification decisions are managed by DAMA International.
The DAMA UK Chapter is affiliated with DAMA International and trades as an independent company registered at Companies House, UK.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellation by Participant:
- More than 28 days before the course: Full refund
- Between 14-28 days: 50% refund
- Less than 7 days: No refund
Transfer of Enrolment:
- Transfers are subject to availability.
- Only permitted if the provider can fill the place.
- Transfers are one-time only and apply to the next available course.
Cancellation by Provider:
If the course is cancelled by the provider, participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another session.
Exceptional Circumstances:
If a participant is unable to attend due to emergency or illness, please contact us as soon as possible. We will review requests on a case-by-case basis and may offer credit towards a future course.
To cancel or request a transfer, please contact us via email or phone. We recommend notifying us as soon as possible to ensure your request is processed efficiently.
