As simple as A to E: An enterprise approach to Data Quality improvement - Nigel Turner

Data quality remains a daunting challenge as poor data quality is sadly still the norm in many companies and organisations.   This webinar explores why data quality is so hard to get right and outlines an effective approach to identifying, prioritising and tackling data quality problems.  The approach also applies some of the artefacts of systems thinking to help demonstrate the multi-dimensionality of data quality and the need for holistic solutions. 

Nigel Turner is a committee member of DAMA UK and has worked in Information Management (IM) and related areas for over twenty five years.  This experience has embraced Data Governance, Information Strategy, Data Quality, Data Governance, Master Data Management & Business Intelligence.  He currently works as Principal Information Management Consultant at Global Data Strategy (GDS).  During his time with GDS he has personally provided consulting services to a range of organisations including the Environment Agency, a global motor manufacturing company, a German pharma-technology enterprise, a major global events management company, and a Republic of Ireland based utility, amongst others.   Prior to joining GDS Nigel has also been a principal consultant at such firms as FromHereOn, IPL and Trillium Software where he led data management engagements with over 150 clients.
